About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, National Intreipid, Center of Excellence at Bethesda, Maryland. Serve in a multidisciplinary clinic treating Active Duty patients with TBI and Psychological health conditions. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Perform comprehensive medical duties, including patient histories, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and interpretation of diagnostic tests for Active Duty patients.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform minor procedures under physician supervision.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention, serving as a primary point of contact for care coordination.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other specialists—to ensure integrated, holistic patient management.
