You will serve as a Program Manager within the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Alaska Outer Continental Shelf Region (AKOCSR) in Anchorage, AK. This is a temporary promotion not to exceed 1 year and can be extended up to 5 years. This temporary promotion appointment may be made permanent without further competition. The duty location for this position may be either Anchorage, AK or New Orleans, LA. The final duty location will be determined at time of selection.

The Program Manager for the BOEM AKOCSR, Office of Environment and oversees environmental programs supporting strategic coordination, policy implementation, and integration of cross-program initiatives with Bureau-level implications. The AKOCSR, Office of Environment, supports BOEM's mission through the formulation, implementation, and oversight of policies, frameworks, and initiatives with regional scope and bureau-wide impact. The incumbent exercises delegated authority to set strategic priorities, direct program operations, allocate resources, and ensure program outcomes align with Departmental and Bureau priorities. Plans, directs, and evaluates complex environmental programs and initiatives with regional or Bureau-wide impact. Establishes program goals, priorities, performance measures, and short- and long-term strategies. Advises senior leadership on program performance, emerging issues, risks, and recommended courses of action. Directs program resources, including budgets, staffing, workloads, and operational requirements. Supervises subordinate managers and professional, technical, and administrative staff. Coordinates program activities across offices, regions, and partner organizations to resolve competing priorities and accomplish mission objectives. Represents BOEM in high-level engagements with government officials, Tribal entities, industry representatives, and other stakeholders.
