This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

• Clinical Responsibilities (100%) Provides a full range of psychological diagnostic assessment services for mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients with mental health disorders. Provides education to patients, family members, and significant others. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Creates structured therapeutic plans consistent with an 'episodes of care' model of service. Utilizes recovery-oriented treatment approach which emphasizes resiliency, empowerment, and recovery from behavioral health challenges. Provides consultation to professional staff within VA St. Louis Healthcare System and to community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for veteran patients. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatments within the electronic record system. Functions independently as a member of the VA St. Louis Healthcare System Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges. Assumes complete professional responsibility for clinical assessment findings, patient care decision and documentation. Performs other related duties as assigned.
