These positions are located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Office of Grants and Financial Management (OGFM), Awards Management Division in Kansas City, MO. In this position, you will participate with the Director in determining program goals, participate in the program planning process, and provide professional advice to program managers on the legal, financial, and regulatory aspects of support for extramural programs.

  • Develops the branch's work plans, and resource allocations in support of the customer's needs and objectives.
  • Plans and coordinates work of the branch, identifies needs, proposes and executes special projects, and reviews work for technical correctness.
  • Advises program managers and administrators of the need for special provisions and recommends the obtaining of appropriate clearances from NIFA staff offices and higher levels.
  • Assures compliance by recipients on award terms and conditions.
  • Ensures the resolution of adverse audit findings and makes recommendations to recover funds or alternative action(s) determined to be in the best interest of the public, USDA, programmatic goals and long-term associations.
