The Cybersecurity Engineering and Architecture Branch establishes foundational security within the USPTO's digital infrastructure. This branch provides the framework to embed security considerations into every phase of the design and development process and champion security best practices in a hands-on, engineering-oriented manner, fostering an environment. This position serves as the Cybersecurity Engineering and Architecture Branch Chief.
- The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. You are driven to manage implementation of Zero Trust Architecture to ensure strict access controls and compliance with OMB directives, focusing on securing all resources regardless of location. 4. You enjoy identifying the need for special projects and initiating milestones and goals.
