About the Position: This position is located at Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright Alaska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.
- Perform inter-oral procedures such as take preliminary impressions for study models, remove sutures, and place and remove rubber dams, perio-packs and matrix bands and wedges.
- Operate dental X-ray equipment to take intra and extra-oral radiographs.
- Assist dentist with simple and complex procedures such as tooth removal, surgical removal of impacted teeth, alveoloplasty, minor preprosthetic surgery of hard and soft tissues, and excisional biopsies.
- Maintain dental equipment in a clean and operative condition.
- Prepare and arrange all instruments and materials needed for each treatment.
