Foo Service Float - SUMMARY:

The Food Service Float is responsible for performing a variety of duties including, hands on preparation, cooking and serving of all foods for the patients, cafeteria, doctors’ dining room and all catering events. Participate as part of the production team and supports our mission by providing safe, therapeutic and innovative food to our patients, cafeteria, and catering services.

Food Service Float - JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Minimum 1 year previous work experience.

Certifications: Certificate of Achievement in Employee Food Safety by ServSafe or achieve within 6 months from date of hire.

Other: Basic computer knowledge

Safety Sensitive Designation

Food Service Float - Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without an accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk up to, or exceeding 8 hours per shift. Ability to bend, squat and twist, and frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds with proper body mechanics. Spend up to two hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
