You will serve as a Administrative Officer Maine Ecological Services Field Office . Salary for Kennebunk, Maine: GS-07: $57150 - 74297; GS-09: $69,905 - $90,882 Salary for Orland, Maine: GS-07: $50,460 - $65,599; GS-09: $61,722 - $80,243

• Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Analyzes, evaluates, and manages accounting and control systems to maintain proper financial balances, distributes resources to all activities within planned limitations, and ensures that maximum benefits are obtained from resources. Monitors and tracks, obligations and expenditures throughout the budget execution phase and verifies that obligations and expenditures occur on a timely basis in accordance with the financial plan and regulatory controls and are within available funds. Plans and conducts limited analytical studies of organizational elements and work to identify problems and approve resource utilization, administrative support, and management effectiveness. Advises and assists in determining needs and acquiring equipment, supplies, materials, and repair services on the basis of necessity and availability of funds. Serves as an organization liaison on human resources matters by coordinating organization needs with human resources office requirements; initiating personnel actions; and facilitating the accomplishment of various human resources management programs by analyzing and advising on implications of proposed management decisions. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
