This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (1 to 5 years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Candidate will provide quality service in our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran inpatient and outpatient population. Candidate must have a strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Preferred is an individual with a proven track record in educational and research endeavors. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonology and Critical Care. The candidate must also be American Heart Association BLS/ACLS certified. Preferred Experience: M.D. or D.O. degree Board Certified in Internal Medicine BC/BE in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday- Friday
