- As a Physician (Public Health), you will: Serve as a subject matter expert on Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) requirements and diagnostic testing, offering technical assistance, regulatory interpretation, and decision support to ensure compliance with quality standards. Analyze proficiency testing results, quality control data, incident reports, and laboratory performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and meet regulatory requirements. Ensure staff competency assessments, ongoing education, and professional development activities meet CLIA and CDC standards for laboratory operations. Review and evaluate method verification and validation documentation for high complexity laboratory testing to confirm adherence to CLIA requirements and ensure test accuracy and reliability.
