About the Position: This position is located at 673rd Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment incentive may be authorized. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, serving areas, cooking equipment, utensils and dishware.
- Sets up and operates a mechanical dishwasher, including the continuous conveyor belt feeding dishwasher.
- Sweep and mop floors. Wash shelves, tables, sinks, equipment, and other work areas. Remove trash from working areas. Disassemble equipment for manual cleaning. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
- Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks throughout the food service and related areas, such as cleaning ceilings, exhaust hoods, and spaces under and behind kitchen equipment.
- Support the patient tray section by reading patient menus, and assembling and portioning the assigned tray items (prepared main course, hot side items, condiments, salads, desserts, etc.) in accordance with patient diet orders.
