This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity, Provider Compliance Group (PCG), Division of Compliance Projects & Demonstrations (DCPD). As a IT Program Manager (Data Management), GS-2210-12, you will provide technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for data systems, software, and complex programming specifications.
- Conduct the development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data, using tools such as Snowflake, Python, Business Objects, and JSON.
- Apply techniques for dealing with imperfect data, such as probabilistic matching and imputation of missing values, using SAS, SQL, or other high-level query languages.
- Provide technical advice on pilot initiatives and applications, including the use of AI and other advanced software for analyses and statistical reporting, and recommend technology use to management as it relates to CMS data
- Translate complex concepts and findings into concise, plain language consistent with mission goals that can be easily understood by a wide audience.
- Recommend improvements to upstream processes to improve data quality.
