Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

·       Set up banquet rooms and event areas, ensuring that tables, chairs, linens, and place settings are arranged according to event specifications.

·       Serve food and beverages to guests during events in a timely and courteous manner.

·       Assist with greeting and seating guests, offering menus, and providing information about the event’s food and beverage offerings.

·       Ensure that guests’ needs are met during the event by anticipating requests and responding promptly and professionally.

·       Maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet area during and after events, ensuring that tables are clear, and used dishes are removed in a timely fashion.

·       Monitor and manage the flow of food and beverage service to ensure all guests are served efficiently.

·       Assist with the event breakdown by clearing tables, stacking chairs, and resetting the space for the next event.

·       Ensure all food and beverage items are served according to health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

·       Collaborate with other servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure a smooth event experience.

·       Assist with guest inquiries or special requests to enhance their overall experience.

·       Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers.

·       Communicate any guest concerns, issues, or requests to the Banquet Manager or Event Coordinator for resolution.

·       Perform other related duties as needed to support the banquet team and ensure the success of events.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items, wine pairings, and drink preparation is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, and other items weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Professional appearance and demeanor are required.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

Flexible schedule based on business needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events, and other forms of non-financial compensation.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. This may involve standing for 6 to 10 hours. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather, including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain, and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This role requires the safe operation of golf carts and other vehicles to travel between areas of the property and perform transportation duties.
