As a Supervisory Government Information Specialist, you will manage a team of first line supervisors, oversee staff responsible for interpreting and applying FOIA/PA regulations, perform detailed research and analysis of records, and approve cases.
- Supervises a team responsible for interpreting and applying complex FOIA/PA laws and regulations.
- Reviews, processes, and approves cases; prepares legal documents for hearings, appeals, and litigation.
- Counsels and establishes priorities to subordinates for both FOIA cases and administrative matters.
- Performs detailed research, analysis, and evaluation of data for inclusion or exclusion of information in response to the most highly complex and sensitive FOIA/PA requests.
- Directs staff in the successful resolution of problems encountered by the impact of policy change.
