Major duties include, but are not limited to: Initial evaluation and overall workups, and focused history & physicals of medical/surgical patients as needed, including evaluation of patients as part of our preoperative anesthesia clinic. Peri-operative anesthetic care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic administration and monitoring, and post-anesthesia care in an anesthesia team model with CRNA and/or anesthesia residents. Expertise with a wide variety of anesthesia techniques and procedures including regional and spinal anesthesia. Teaching of anesthesia residents, medical students, student nurse anesthetists, and other trainees. Participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives, committees, and any other relevant activities as appropriate. Participation in clinical research for interested candidates. Effectively work with patients and coworkers and dedication to treating other health care professionals and patients' families with respect and dignity. Work Schedule: Schedule may vary between five - 8 hour days, Monday thru Friday, and four - 10 hour days with a weekday off. On Call is required and will be shared equally amongst Staff Anesthesiologist which will include, evenings, nights, weekends and holiday's. Note: Schedule will ultimately be determined by your Supervisor and based on the needs of the service, facility, and/or agency
