About this organization: OAR This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).
- At the full performance level of this position, you will: Plan, organize, and direct work to accomplish program and organizational objectives while researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying applicable laws, regulations, and guidance to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to promote an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment. Represent the Agency by building and maintaining effective working relationships with high-level officials within EPA, other Federal, State, local, and Tribal agencies, private industry, and public municipalities to coordinate, negotiate, and resolve complex program issues. Serve as an authoritative expert and national program manager for the implementation of national ambient air quality standards for criteria air pollutants and the long-range visibility protection program for Federal Class I areas (Clean Air Act title I). You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
