About the Position: Serves as the Deputy Chief of Emergency Medicine in the DIR of Medicine, Dept. of Emergency Medicine, Office of the Chief; Shifts will consist of rotating 10-hour clinical shifts; Sunday to Saturday/Holidays; On Call; Overtime; Shift rotation/schedules will vary at the commands discretion This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Will serve as the Deputy Chief of Emergency Medicine.
- Provides direct clinical emergency medical care to a wide range of patient presentations, ages and conditions.
- Conducts initial resuscitation and stabilization of patients.
- Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including lifesaving and lesser procedures.
- Provides supervision/online direction of base ambulance and in-house emergency response.
